Pretty simple and plain stamp. Straight to the point.

I'm no =CookiemagiK when it comes to pixel arts and stamp making [ laugh XD; ]


I think a lot of people are missing the point when it comes to "deviantART". Mostly the "ART" part (despite the fact it's in caps).

It doesn't matter how many pageviews someone has. We're all mainly here to share our works, see the works of others, and discuss art. Have you ever been on deviantArt without seeing or discussing anything about art?

So what if someone has many pageviews? Okay, so many people saw this artist’s page. Well, the trashcan by my school is seen by thousands of kids as they drive and walk by everyday. If everything on earth has a view counter, then that trashcan probably has a good (about 175~240 school days per year depending on the school district with or without weekends, my school has been open for roughly 14 years old, 2,000~3,000 students at my school varying each year...excluding random strangers that pass by and random people at sports events) 7,262,500 views total. But no, they probably change trashcans every 5 years…so roughly 2,593,750 views.

What does this all mean?
That pageviews are pretty much pointless here. They just show how many visits you’ve received since you’ve been here. It doesn’t show how great you are; it doesn’t show how great your works are. I can name 5 artists off the top of my head ( *shilin, =CookiemagiK, *slumberdoll, =LazyMuFFin, ~loveariddle ) that totally owns and grinds my art skills into the pavement, and it has NOTHING to do with pageviews. Neither do large quantities of pointless numbers that records numbers on the top of my page suddenly magically gives me the power to start looking down on people. Neither do large numbers of pageviews prove that somebody’s a great artist.

For some strange reason, people have the misconception that because I have many visits, I must be an awesome artist. I’m not. I hope to be an awesome artist one day, but for now I’m just here to admire art, improve, learn, and socialize with other aspiring artists. No, I’m not being modest. That’s just how I see myself.


Oh my goodness :I I am starting to rant and ramble.

I know it seems like I’m beating on pageviews all the time, but only because I get beat on about it so many times. Mostly it’s due to their misconceptions and assumptions. But I can't hate the people that bashed me really :/ Pageviews aren’t pure evil; it’s just what people make of it.

However, I found: [link] , and I assure you I wasn’t attempting to copy. The concept is also different so I feel it's all right. I looked through pages of stamps to make sure a similar “I support Art now Views” stamp didn’t exist. However, if something similar to mine does exist, or if there's a problem, please note me :]

OTL yeah I agree
however I'm totally guilty of checking my pageviews religiously rofl.
But I'm sick of feeling down on myself just because of how few views I have.
It doesn't affect me too much, its mostly just something I keep track of for fun, but I should still probably care less OTL
